Daniil, a football fan, was detained on May 4, 2021, by GUBOPiK and SOBR officers as part of a criminal case opened for participating in protests that took place in Mozyr in August 2020 after the presidential elections. He was convicted under the articles "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" and "violence or threat of violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies."
He was released in December 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
