In July 2021, Anton was detained in the Mazyr dormitory where he lived: a national flag was hanging in his room. He was then sentenced to administrative arrest and afterwards released pending the completion of expert examinations. In November 2021, Anton was summoned for a "preventive conversation" and detained again, this time in a criminal case.
According to the prosecution, in the summer of 2020 Anton came up with the "Palessie Way", a human chain from Mazyr to Kalinkavichy modelled on the Baltic Way of 1989, and in Telegram channels suggested blocking the buildings of the district executive committee, the police, the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee. Yet the protest he was accused of preparing never took place.
In March 2022, Anton was found guilty in a criminal case opened under the article "Organising and preparing actions that grossly violate public order, or actively participating in them" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.
Released in January 2024 after serving his full sentence.
However, just a month later, in February 2024, Anton was tried again, this time under an administrative article for "extremist materials". The outcome of that hearing is unknown.
