Andrei was arrested in September 2021 as part of a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk.
In February 2023, he was found guilty of writing comments about security forces, pro-government activists, and Lukashenko under the articles "inciting hatred or discord," "insulting a government official," "insulting Lukashenko," and also under the article "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order or active participation in them" for participating in a post-election protest that took place on August 16, 2020, in Minsk.
According to human rights activists, he was released in the summer of 2023, having fully served his sentence.
