In November 2021, Aliaksandr was detained over a comment he had left in autumn 2020 in a Telegram chat under a post by a humorous channel, written as if on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs. According to an expert examination, the comment contained "indirect incitement to violence" against police officers. Aliaksandr was held in custody until the trial.
In March 2022, he was found guilty in a criminal case opened under the article "Inciting hatred or discord" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.
Released in February 2024 after serving his full sentence.
