Alexey, a Russian citizen, worked at the Gomel Chemical Plant before his arrest. He was detained in connection with a criminal case opened under the article "assistance to extremist activity" after Belarusian security forces gained access to the chats of a bot belonging to the Belarusian Gayun monitoring project, where people submitted information about Russian troop movements.
In the winter of 2025, Alexei was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony, as well as to pay a large fine.

✍️️ Remember that every letter is censored. This means that your letters are read by strangers whose main goal is to limit inmates' access to information or to use it against the prisoners or even you.

👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
