Daniil Polyansky is a Brest journalist. In early September, Polyansky went to Russia to visit relatives. On the way, there was an incident with Russian security forces. His car was stopped by FSB officers and he was accused of an administrative violation for disobedience - allegedly he refused to show documents.

"Danil said that at that time his passport was in the hands of a Russian security officer," says one of Polyansky's acquaintances. "Later, when he returned to Brest, he was detained by KGB officers."

Initially it was assumed that he was detained for some administrative violation. But it became known that a criminal case had been opened.

Danil Polyansky is 53 years old. As a videographer, he once collaborated with state and commercial TV channels, as well as with independent regional sites. In recent years, he was known in Brest as a volunteer for the search and rescue squad "Angel".

Margarita has long been a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus. Evgeniy is a former IT manager from Mogilev. After the 2006 elections and several years of political activism, he was expelled from the history department of Mogilev University. In 2013, Evgeniy returned to Belarus, immediately got married, and then went to work. While he had previously focused primarily on public and academic activities (in the student ethnographic society and the oral history archive), he has now gone into business.

And since the beginning of 2017, he has taken on a new occupation: at the request of clients, he has recorded interviews with their village grandparents and edited documentaries.

He is accused of aiding extremist activity.

Evgeniya has a wife and two small children waiting for her at home.

Sergey Skibinsky is 41 years old. He is a designer. Previously, he was the director of the design agency poligraf.bу, which existed until 2020. Sergey also has an individual entrepreneurship in the field of design, makes his own illustrations and projects.

Sergei will be tried for "assisting extremism" and participating in protests.

Convicted for participating in a protest from August 10 to 11, 2024 in the city of Bereza.

Judge Evgeny Pisarevich heard the case from August 28 to September 4, 2024. Viktor will also be ordered to pay 1,000 rubles in compensation for moral damages to the Logoisk police officer.

On October 7, 2025, the verdict was announced in the second trial: taking into account the first trial - 6 years of imprisonment in a maximum security prison, a fine of 600 basic units, as well as compensation for moral damages to Chemodanova - 5,000 Belarusian rubles, Karpenkov - 2,000 Belarusian rubles, and Nikitenko - 5,000 Belarusian rubles.
