Alexander Rudchik was born in Skovorodino, a town in the Amur region of Russia, near the Chinese border. He graduated from the Military Finance and Economics Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defense in 1985 and subsequently served as a lieutenant in Tynda, Amur region.
According to BelPol, the man lived in Belarus for many years and worked as an auditor as a sole proprietor since 2003. He closed his business at the end of 2019.
Alexander did not hide his anti-Putin and anti-Lukashenko views on social media.
Since 2022, the man has lived outside of Belarus. As early as the spring of 2025, he was posting photos from Poland. But later, for unknown reasons, Rudchik ended up in Belarus.

After the sentence comes into effect, it is only possible to write letters to a prisoner. ✏️ Your life events. To a person who is in isolation for a long time, any story about your routine endeavors will be a window into normal life. Your day-to-day worries and mundane matters are much more interesting than the daily grind of life behind bars.
✏️ It is important to share news. Mention the most notable and interesting occurrences depending on your pen-pal's interests.
✍️️ Remember that every letter is censored. This means that your letters are read by strangers whose main goal is to limit inmates' access to information or to use it against the prisoners or even you.
So try to avoid:
👉️️ harsh statements regarding ongoing political matters
👉 statements against the authorities and public servants
👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
