He handed down guilty verdicts in politically motivated cases, where he imposed penalties in the form of a fine totaling at least 405 rubles. Found Dmitry Shcherbin guilty under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 1 year of imprisonment to be served in a colony under general regime conditions for comments on the Internet. He found Mikhail Karasev guilty under Article 364 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 2 years of imprisonment to be served in a colony under general regime conditions for driving away people in civilian clothes from his house with a chainsaw, mistaking them for bandits.
