An accomplice to crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of Belarus. Kochanova Kristina Yegorovna is an employee of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repressions. Kochanova Kristina acted as the state prosecutor in the case of political prisoner Alexei Melnikov. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for mass riots. On August 10, 2020, Alexei went out into the city near the Riga supermarket on personal business. He did not take part in blocking the streets that evening. When riot police appeared on the streets, Melnikov took off his mask and suggested that they lay down their shields and "resolve the matter peacefully." For this, Kochanova requested 5 years of imprisonment for the man to be served in a high-security penal colony, which is what the court ultimately sentenced him to.
