On September 17, in the Leninsky Court of Grodno, Judge Ruslan Gurin handed down a sentence in the case of Boris Leshkevich and Leonid Klimov. The prosecution was represented in court by Assistant Prosecutor Anzhelika Butrimovich. The men were sentenced to 2 years of "chemistry" for participating in a peaceful protest on August 9, 2020 in Grodno.
They were accused of participating in actions that grossly violate public order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code). According to the prosecution, Boris and Leonid disobeyed police officers, called on others to resist, ignored demands to disperse, and, together with other people, formed a chain and blocked traffic.
