On February 10, 2023, he sentenced Dmitry Stepanov, accusing him of creating an extremist group or participating in it under Part 1 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code, sentencing him with a punishment of four years of restriction of freedom in a general regime.

Sergey is an entrepreneur. Since 2022, he has been repeatedly charged with "dissemination of extremist materials" for forwarding news from the NEXTA channel to Telegram and liking the "STOP LUKA" community on Odnoklassniki.
Following the August 2020 elections in Belarus, Sergei posted a call to stop trains in order to destabilize the country's economic situation on the Telegram channel "Railwaymen of Belarus" (later deemed extremist). He was arrested for this, and in April 2024, he was convicted and sentenced to imprisonment.
