Oleg was found guilty in November 2021 of insulting a government official. The case was prompted by a comment posted in the "Belarusian Prison" group on the social network VKontakte, which included the phrase "ghoul, half-captain" referring to Igor Petrov, the head of the special prison corrections department at Penal Colony No. 1 of the UDIN in the Vitebsk Region.
When asked by the state prosecutor whether he knew the victim, Oleg answered in the affirmative, explaining that he had known the victim since he was serving his prison sentence in Correctional Colony No. 1 in Novopolotsk.
In November 2022, a court hearing was held to discuss the issue of replacing the restriction of freedom with a non-custodial sentence. The outcome of the hearing is unknown.
Dmitry was found guilty in September 2021 of "insulting a government official" for a comment he left on the social media site Odnoklassniki under a photo of Igor Volnich, a traffic police officer from the Gantsevichi District Department of Internal Affairs, pinning a detainee to the ground with his knee.
