An accomplice to crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of Belarus. Lyudmila Gennadyevna Kovalenko supports the Lukashenko regime and politically motivated repressions. Has handed down guilty verdicts on politically motivated articles. Has handed down a verdict in the case of Denis Petko. The man was accused of writing offensive comments under photos of members of the Armed Forces, a senior assistant prosecutor of one of the Minsk districts, journalists, and Lukashenko in the summer of 2020, while he was an administrator of a closed Telegram chat. As a result, Denis was charged under two criminal articles at once: Part 1 of Article 368 and Article 369 of the Criminal Code. Kovalenko sentenced the man to 2.5 years of restricted freedom with referral to an open-type correctional facility.
