Viktor Vladimirovich Baryshev is involved in the politically motivated criminal prosecution of citizens of the Republic of Belarus. As an investigator for especially important cases at the Main Directorate of Procedural Control, he supervised and controlled the opening and investigation of criminal cases against participants in peaceful protests and civic activists after the 2020 election. His actions furthered politically motivated criminal cases that violate the rights and freedoms of citizens.
