Yuliya Nikolaevna Byalt is an employee of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus involved in politically motivated criminal cases against citizens who took part in protests, as well as in the persecution of activists and independent journalists. She takes part in fabricating evidence and initiating criminal cases on political grounds, which furthers the repressive policy of the state.
