He handed down guilty verdicts in politically motivated cases, where he imposed penalties in the form of a fine totaling at least 1,167 rubles. On December 4, 2014, Vitaliy Gulyako was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced him to a fine of 20 basic units for his participation in the 1863 Rebel Remembrance Day in Svisloch.
