Crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens of Belarus. Barantseva Svetlana Nikolaevna is an employee of the judicial authorities involved in politically motivated repressions, in which thousands of peaceful demonstrators, several hundred journalists, human rights defenders and activists were detained and subjected to violence. She handed down guilty verdicts in politically motivated cases, where she imposed penalties in the form of a fine totaling at least 810 rubles. She handed down a sentence against the deputy chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front party, Grigory Kastusev, with a fine of 25 basic units for participating in the celebration of Kastus Kalinovsky’s Memorial Day on October 26, 2014.
