He was detained by Russian border guards when he tried to leave Belarus. He was handed over to the Belarusian security forces and placed in a pre-trial detention center.

At the beginning of September 2022,it became known that a trial was held in Orsha to strengthen the political prisoner regime and Dmitry was transferred to prison regime.

Dmitry’s mother died on April 13, 2023.

It recently became known that in Orsha on September 1, 2023, a trial was held under Part 1 of Art. 411 of the Criminal Code (Malicious disobedience to the requirements of the prison administration). Dmitry was added to his prison term by another 1 year and 15 days . That is, the political prisoner’s term should have ended on August 18, and he should have been released, but this did not happen due to re-arrest and trial on a new criminal case.

In January 2022, Ruslan was sentenced to three years in prison in a general regime colony.

On August 2, 2022, another trial of Ruslan Kuzmich took place under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official) and Art. 370 of the Criminal Code (outrage of state symbols).

Vladislav was convicted for, according to the investigation materials, posting in the chat of one of the Telegram channels a message in which he gave a characterization of the judge of the Lida District Court, Maksim Filatov, thereby, according to the prosecution, humiliating his honor and dignity. Earlier, on October 28, 2020, Filatov, referring to Part 3 of Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, sentenced Vladislav to administrative arrest.

He was released in October 2022, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
