Irena, the head of the Lida branch of the Union of Poles, was detained as part of a criminal case on the "rehabilitation of Nazism." According to the prosecutor's office, since 2018, "illegal events" have been held with the participation of minors, at which "anti-Soviet figures were honored," which, according to the investigation, "pursued the goal of justifying the genocide of the Belarusian people."
At the end of May 2021, Irena was released and deported to Poland.

Alexander, an activist and well-known Belarusian artist, was arrested in late March 2021 on charges of “rehabilitating Nazism” after he displayed a portrait of Yevgeny Zhikhar with a machine gun over his shoulder at an exhibition at the Grodno City Life Center. The prosecutor’s office claimed that Alexander “characterized Zhikhar as a fighter against the Bolsheviks, glorifying his actions.” Despite the threat of prosecution, Alexander did not cancel his return to Belarus from Ukraine, where his exhibition was taking place.
On March 25, 2022, during the trial, he cut his stomach in protest, for which he received 13 days in solitary confinement. He was later convicted of "inciting hatred or discord" and "desecration of state symbols." The political prisoner refused to file an appeal.
As it became known, in November 2022, Alexander's type of punishment was toughened and he was transferred to prison regime.
On July 11, 2023, Alexander died in intensive care due to untimely medical care for a perforated ulcer.
Ilya was detained and convicted under the article "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" for participating in a protest that took place on September 23, 2020 in Minsk. He was accused of allegedly blocking the road and thereby interfering with traffic. The court sentenced him to restriction of freedom.
In November 2022, the preventive measure was tightened and he was transferred to a penal colony.
He was released in May 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.

Mia was detained in January 2021 after being questioned by the Investigative Committee and later convicted under the article on “inciting hatred or discord” for expressing her opinion about the political situation in the country on the social network VKontakte.

Activist and volunteer Olga was detained in March 2021. Physical violence was used against her at the time of her detention. She was convicted of participating in protests that took place in Minsk in 2020 against violence and the results of the presidential elections, as well as under the article on "creation of an extremist group or participation in it."
Olga was an election observer, volunteered near the Minsk detention center in Okrestina Lane, and later in the courts. She was detained several times during street protests and fined significant amounts.
In September 2024, Olga was released, having fully served her sentence imposed by the court.

On August 11, 2020, during protests in Minsk, Nikita met his brother and his wife to show them his motorcycle. The police arrived, and when Nikita asked to show his ID, he was forcibly removed from the motorcycle, beaten with batons, and taken to the police station. Later, in November 2020, he was taken into custody and convicted of "resisting a police officer."
According to human rights activists, he was released in September 2024, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.

Anna, director of the Polish School LLC in Brest, was detained in March 2021 upon her return to Belarus as part of a criminal case on the "glorification of war criminals". The reason for the investigation was an "illegal mass event" in memory of the "damned soldiers" that took place on February 28 in a building rented by the Brest Forum of Polish Local Initiatives and the Polish School.
At the end of May 2021, Anna was released and deported to Poland.
Yuri was convicted for writing on the fence of a construction site: "SB - f... be afraid." The "victims" in the case were six employees of the publishing house "Belarus Today": Mikhail Lebedev, journalists Andrei Mukovozchik, Lyudmila Gladkaya, Dmitry Krot, Roman Rud, as well as the head of the material support department.

Kira is a volunteer from Minsk. In February 2021, she was detained in a criminal case opened for "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order" and placed in custody. While in pretrial detention, she lost her child due to deteriorating health caused by harsh detention conditions .
On August 5, 2021, Kira was released on bail, but on August 25, she was summoned to the investigator again. Fearing re-imprisonment, she was forced to leave the country.

Alexey was detained and convicted twice for comments left about the security forces after the death of Roman Bondarenko on the Telegram channel "Punishermen of Belarus". Under pressure, he was forced to unlock his phone. They came to the apartment with a search four times, looking for money, weapons, drugs and prohibited symbols, and also seized the equipment.
In December 2021, Alexey managed to escape from the correctional facility and leave the country.
