Lyubov was detained along with her mother during a mass raid in Belarus on October 31 in connection with the Yard Chat Case.
Lyuba is a single mother and has a six-year-old daughter. A relative has taken custody of the daughter during Lyuba's imprisonment.
While in pretrial detention (for almost a year), Lyuba was diagnosed with cancer. Despite this, her pretrial detention was not changed and she remained in custody until her trial. She was the only defendant in her case to be sentenced to home confinement, as she urgently needed chemotherapy. All the others received sentences ranging from 2.5 to 3 years in prison.

Previously, Yury Makhnach was a PPS company commander in Lida. In August 2020, TUT.BY published his appeal. Yury Makhnach spoke about the beating of people in the Lida District Department of Internal Affairs, paddy wagons, and at a car wash in the department's service garage. Then,on August 18 , heresignedfrom service in the police .
On August 18, 2020, he resigned and later left Belarus for Poland due to the threat of persecution.

Nadezhda was convicted for participating in a protest held on September 6, 2020 in Grodno against the falsification of the presidential elections and violence in the country. She was sentenced to serve her sentence in an open-type correctional facility, after which she had to leave Belarus.
In 2024, it became known that a new criminal case had been opened against Nadezhda as part of a special proceeding and she had been convicted in absentia under the article on “assistance to extremist activity.”

Anatoly was convicted in July 2021 of insulting a government official. According to the indictment, on October 29, 2020, while at home, he left a comment under an image describing police officer Alexander Kravchenko on the Telegram channel "Punishermen of Belarus," using obscene language. The investigation classified this as a public insult intended to cause the police officer emotional distress.
In November 2022, Anatoly faced trial under the same article. The nature of the charges, the details of the case, and the outcome of the trial are unknown.

Evgeny was convicted of intentionally removing the national flag from the front of the post office building and throwing it in a trash can, according to the charges. The case file states that he was intoxicated at the time of the act, which was confirmed by an expert examination.
