Aleksey Valentinovich Goryunov is an employee of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repressions. On October 10, 2018, he testified in court as a witness in the case against Konstantin Astapuk, an activist opposed to the construction of the battery plant, accused of disobeying police officers under Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. During the hearing, Goryunov gave false testimony in order to bring administrative charges against Astapuk for his civic stance. On October 25, 2020, he detained a man carrying a white-red-white flag on Sovetskaya Street in Brest.
