The convicted man is 34 years old. He worked as a craftsman in Verkhnedvinsk.
In late October 2021, the man was detained by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK). Denis was accused of posting offensive comments under photos of Armed Forces personnel, a senior assistant prosecutor of a Minsk district, journalists, and Lukashenko in the summer of 2020, while administering a closed Telegram chat.

According to the first charge, between August 5, 2020, and August 11, 2021, Andrei posted insults against Lukashenko in social media comments at least 20 times. In May 2022, he was sentenced to restricted freedom without referral.
However, he was soon convicted again. According to the second charge, between August 5, 2020, and July 2021, Andrei repeatedly posted derogatory and offensive comments about Natalia Kachanova, Vladimir Makei, and other officials on the social network Odnoklassniki. He was sentenced to restricted freedom with a referral.
The location of his sentence is unknown. Andrei has ailing elderly parents who require care.
