Aleksandr Valentinovich Sakovich is an employee of law enforcement agencies involved in politically motivated repressions, during which thousands of peaceful protesters, several hundred journalists, human rights defenders, and activists were detained and subjected to violence.
He was a victim in the case against Nikolai Lositsky, who was convicted under Article 188 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (defamation). According to the investigator's ruling, Nikolai Lositsky intentionally posted images of Major Sakovich on the "Pinsk for Life" Telegram channel. The images were accompanied by text that, according to Sakovich, contained information that was untrue and defamatory, as well as "significantly derogatory to the honor and dignity of the individual, discrediting the victim in the eyes of the public." Nikolai Lositsky was sentenced to two years of restricted freedom and sent to an open-type correctional facility.

Nikolai was found guilty in December 2020 of a criminal defamation charge. According to the ruling of Major Petrovich, investigator of the Pinsk Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee, Nikolai intentionally posted images of Major Sakovich on the "Pinsk for Life" Telegram channel on two occasions—on August 18 and 20, 2020.

He was released in February 2023, having fully served his sentence.
