Andrei, in the Mogilev Department of Internal Affairs, in September 2023, being drunk, "made indecent remarks" about Lukashenko. He was convicted in the Leninsky District Court of Mogilev under Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code (Insulting Lukashenko). According to the charges, on the morning of May 4 , Bondarenko spoke in an indecent manner about Lukashenko in the presence of other citizens near the Transit store . According to the prosecution, the Ukrainian's motive was "support for the ideas of social intolerance towards representatives of the authorities of the Republic of Belarus and an open display of hostility towards them." One of those present contacted the police and even provided a photograph of the car in which Yuri Bondarenko and his friend left. The next day, the Ukrainian was detained on charges of insulting Lukashenko .

After his arrest, he was immediately placed in custody in Pre-trial Detention Facility No. 4 in Mogilev.

An anarchist activist was detained while crossing the Belarusian border on the night of October 28-29, 2020, and charged with "arson" and "terrorism." He had previously served a five-year sentence under Article 295-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and was released in 2019.
