Alexander was detained and convicted for participating in a protest against the election results and violence by security forces on the night of August 11-12, 2020 in Zhlobin, as well as for allegedly throwing a stone at a traffic police car.
According to human rights activists, he was released in April 2023, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
