Alexander actively participated in the 2020 protests, supported Viktor Babariko's headquarters and Svetlana Tikhanovskaya's team. During the pandemic, he organized the collection and purchase of protective equipment for the 2nd City Clinical Hospital of Grodno.
On March 18, 2022, Alexander was arrested right at his workplace. On May 19, the man was sentenced to two years of "chemistry" under Article 368.1 of the Criminal Code (public insult to Lukashenko). On the same day, due to the threat of arrest and persecution, the family left Belarus.

According to the prosecution, he actively participated in the unauthorized rally and march, blocking the entrance to a Belarusbank branch and part of the sidewalk, and then blocking traffic. He did not respond to demands to cease his actions. Damages to the transport company were estimated at 71.69 rubles.
