According to the indictment, on August 14, 2020, Maxim Poluyanchik took an active part in an unauthorized mass event on Brestskaya Street in Fanipol. At the same time, "together with others, he went out onto the roadway, interfered with the operation of public transport, clapped his hands and disobeyed the lawful demands of police officers." According to the prosecution, they had been collecting data on military equipment and facilities in Belarus since 2018 on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine.
On December 13, 2025, he was released following a visit to Minsk by US President Donald Trump's special representative, John Cole, and taken to Ukraine.

Mikhail Stolyarchuk was convicted under Article 358-1 of the Criminal Code (intelligence activities). He is a Ukrainian citizen. His nephew, Dmitry Gudik, was also charged in the case. According to the prosecution, they had been collecting data on military equipment and facilities in Belarus on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine since 2018. Igor Dirko was also detained with them, but instead of being prosecuted, he was deported from Belarus.

He was pardoned on November 22, 2025, along with 31 other Ukrainian citizens. A Polish citizen was convicted of "intelligence activities" in the Republic of Belarus. In April 2023, Jerzy turned 58 years old. He comes from a border village near Bialystok, and has lived in Belarus since the 90s - he moved to Grodno after getting married. Until the verdict, his relatives were sure that this was a mistake and Jerzy would be released. The relatives of the accused still cannot understand how he attracted the attention of the security forces.
