Litvin graduated from a technical school specializing in leather goods design and technology. In 2012, he joined the army, serving in the special forces, and then spent several years as a guard at the Vitba-3 prison colony. He worked briefly as a security guard in Moscow, and upon returning to Vitebsk, he joined Tatyana Korotkevich's presidential election campaign. He collected signatures on behalf of the "Tell the Truth" campaign and served as an election observer . He frequently posed for photographs under white-red-white flags and filmed protest videos.
However, Dmitry Litvin abruptly turned against the opposition. He began making offensive videos about Vitebsk representatives of the Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD), calling activist Tatyana Seviarynets a "sectarian and heretic," a representative of a "totalitarian Polish Catholic heretical sect."
Dmitry Litvin only found himself in trouble now, when he began publicly advocating for an Orthodox absolute monarchy and writing about conspiracy theories and a swift apocalypse.
