A pro-government Telegram channel has published a video that uses fragments of video footage from a protest march in Glubokoe, which took place on August 16, 2020. It was the largest march in the regional center, when participants left the sidewalks for the roadway. In the video, three Glubokoe residents admit that they were actually participants in that march. The "video production" of the Telegram channel's authors also contains footage of the brutal detentions of several men. Aivar is also in this video.
Some of the detainees were taken to the Vitebsk pretrial detention center. They are charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Participation in actions that grossly violate public order).
A former journalist for Media-Polesye, Yevgeny was severely beaten during the protests.
On August 10, 2020, Yevgeny went to the protests as a journalist. He was detained , first beaten by police in the Pinsk City Executive Committee restroom, then in a police van. He was then taken to the Pinsk City Police Department's shooting range, where Ales Romanovich saw him badly beaten. He was then placed in the Pinsk temporary detention facility, and then taken to the pretrial detention center of the Ivatsevichi colony, where security forces had housed some of the detainees.
A week after the beating, the journalist still had bruises. It was reported that traces of the beating remained on his face even a month later, including deep scars. Media-Polesye also reported at the time that its employee had suffered an eye injury.
According to human rights activists , he was released in the fall of 2025, having fully served his sentence.
Valentina has a disability and groups, lives on a pension. After the elections, she was repeatedly fined under political administrative articles. Anton Bulakh, 32, is a former firefighter with the Oktyabrsky District Emergency Situations Department. He publicly resigned in 2020. After leaving, he worked in the IT sector.
He previously ran an Instagram account where he shared stories from his work. "What's the main thing in reports? Showing the end result: the fire is extinguished, there are no casualties. I try to write in a way that's engaging for people and gives them at least a basic understanding of what happens at every stage of the firefighters' work," Anton explained.
