Vladimir, a former advisor to Viktor Babariko and a member of the bank's board from 2006 to 2020, was arrested in connection with a criminal case opened under the articles "money laundering on an especially large scale" and "tax evasion on an especially large scale."
The arrests began after Viktor Babariko, the former head of Belgazprombank, announced his intention to run for president of Belarus in 2020.
Released from custody in the fall of 2021.
