Viasna lawyer, coordinator of the Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections campaign. Vladimir was detained along with his wife Nina Labkovich on July 14 after a search of their apartment. After the search, Vladimir, together with Nina, was taken to the DFR, and then for interrogation at the Investigative Committee. Vladimir was detained for 72 hours as part of a criminal case.
Uladzimir is a finalist of the Belarus Human Rights Community Award for 2022 in the Human Rights Defender of the Year nomination.
Ales Byalyatsky, Valentin Stefanovich and Vladimir Labkovich did not plead guilty to any article of the Criminal Code imputed to them.
