He was detained in early March, near the village of Voronovo, Grodno region, he tried to leave Belarus for Lithuania. While examining his mobile phone, police officers found subscriptions to telegram channels, recognized by the authorities as “extremist”. First, the court arrested Viktor Zolotarevsky under an article on the distribution of extremist materials (Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), but later he was charged under criminal articles due to registration in the Peramoga Plan chat bot and a video sent to the Nexta telegram channel. The video showed a conversation between the Ukrainian military and relatives in Gomel.
Zolotarevsky lived in Minsk and worked in the carriage depot of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Railway, lived in a hostel.
After the arrest, he was fired.
