Svetlana was convicted in March 2021 under the article for "participation in group actions that grossly violate public order." According to the prosecution, she took an active part in unauthorized mass protests on August 16 and 23, as well as September 6, 2020. During the protests, she clapped her hands, went out onto the roadway and, as alleged, interfered with the movement of public transport on Nemiga, Volodarsky, Lenin Streets and Independence Avenue, thereby violating public order.

According to human rights activists, Svetlana was released in June 2023 after serving her full sentence.
