According to preliminary information, she was detained under articles 356 and 357 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (“treason against the state” and “conspiracy or other actions committed to seize state power”). Svetlana is survived by her husband and 14-year-old son.
She was released on November 12, 2021 on bail.
