Belarusian journalist, blogger, director, TV presenter, author and creator of NEXTA channels on social and political topics.
The creators and editors of the Nexta project: Stepan Putilo, Yan Rudik and Roman Protasevich, are accused of a number of criminal articles, and a lawsuit has been filed against them for a total amount of more than 30 million rubles. Putilo and Rudik were subjected to "special proceedings". Protasevich complied with the terms of the pre-trial cooperation agreement concluded with him in full, therefore he remains under house arrest - he is the only one of the accused who actually participates in the trial. According to the Belarusian state agency BelTA, the defendants are accused of committing at least 1,586 crimes.
Earlier, the KGB put Putilo and Protasevich on the "terrorist list", and Nexta in Belarus is a "terrorist organization".
