Sergei was detained in August 2023 at his home by KGB officers and placed in pretrial detention.
In April 2024, he was found guilty of insulting Lukashenko and "assisting extremist activity" and sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.
In August 2026, Sergei was released, having fully served his sentence imposed by the court.
