Sergey, the director of a hardware store, was arrested in February 2021 and convicted for participating in a protest that took place on August 9, 2020 in Zhlobin against the results of the presidential elections. His head was smashed during the dispersal of the protest. It is also known that his store supported the nationwide strike on October 26, 2020, after which the authorities forced the landlord to terminate the lease.
He was released in November 2022, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
