By a court verdict, Sergei Melnikov was found guilty of publicly insulting the President of the Republic of Belarus, as well as of deliberate actions that grossly violate public order and express clear disrespect for society, with the use of violence.
According to estimates by human rights activists, in the summer of 2022, he fully served his sentence.
