According to the prosecution , from January to December 2021, Pavel Voropai posted comments in various Telegram channels with insults against the Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Holding Republican Referendums Lidiya Yermoshina, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalia Kochanova, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, the Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Dmitry Korzyuk, the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Olga Chemodanova, the head of the Vitebsk customs Pavel Lobachev, as well as a prosecutor, a judge of one of the capital's districts and other government officials.
He is expected to be released in the spring of 2025.
