Maxim was convicted for a comment left on August 12, 2020, in the Slonim for Life Telegram chat under a photo of a police officer. He was initially given "house arrest," but the appellate court replaced the sentence with restriction of freedom with a referral. His pregnant wife was left at home.
He was released in July 2022, having fully served his sentence.

👉 foul language
👉 discussion of the circumstances of the criminal case
