Evgeny was found guilty on October 28, 2021, under the article "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them" for participating in a post-election protest that took place on August 9, 2020, in Zhlobin.
He was released in the fall of 2023, having fully served his sentence.
