She was detained along with her sister Yulia Glinskaya in Minsk, where Ekaterina returned to get the cat. The detention was carried out by the GUBOPik; the girls were captured as they walked to their car. The apartment was then searched.
She was released on May 2, 2024, having fully served the sentence imposed by the court.
