Katsiaryna worked at a bank. On 16 February 2022, she was detained in a criminal case over letters urging members of election commissions to count the votes honestly at the referendum of 27 February 2022.
First, Katsiaryna was given 15 days of administrative arrest. When she came out of the Akrestsina detention center, she was taken to the KGB, then to a district police department, and jailed for another 15 days. She was set free on 17 March 2022.
After her release Katsiaryna left Belarus.
