At the end of July, the famous jewelry brand Belaruskicry was designated an "extremist organization" in Belarus, and its information products were designated "extremist materials." The team suspended its activities. On July 27, propagandists detailed the allegations against the brand and reported the arrest of one of the team members, Yegor Buzhilov, who had traveled to Belarus. Additionally, six other individuals in Belarus were allegedly connected to Belaruskicry and are accused of economic crimes.
According to the propagandists, production director Yegor Buzhilov was detained after arriving in Belarus. The report featured footage of Buzhilov behind bars. The video is dated July 29. According to the propagandists, Buzhilov is accused, among other things, of "financing extremism" (Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code).
Yegor coordinated the production of Bielaruskicry jewelry—pendants, earrings, and charms. He was accused of giving one of the pieces to Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
