Dmitry Kuchuk was detained near the Russian embassy, where the politician came to lay flowers, regarding the murder of Alexei Navalny. He tried to register during the “hopelessness” campaign, and made efforts to start a campaign to collect signatures for the release of political prisoners.
Dmitry Kuchuk became the seventh leader of the Green Party to be jailed.
On September 1, 2025, it became known that 52 prisoners of the Belarusian regime were forcibly transferred to the territory of Lithuania. Among them are citizens of European countries. Among those released is Dmitry Kuchuk.
