The man is accused of recruiting, training, or otherwise preparing for participation in an armed formation or armed conflict on the territory of a foreign state, or of financing such activities.
According to the prosecution's version of events, which was published by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Cheslav Kononovich allegedly made "10 bank transfers in favor of an extremist group (Kalinovskiy's Regiment) for a total amount of over 1,200 rubles."
On March 19, 2024, the appeal was heard and the verdict came into force.
