Artem, a sound engineer, was arrested in September 2021 in connection with a criminal case opened for online comments following the deaths of KGB officer Dmitry Fedosyuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in Minsk.
During his imprisonment, Artem was denied medical care for ear problems, which resulted in him becoming deaf in one ear.
In December 2022, he was found guilty of "inciting hatred or discord," "insulting a government official," and "organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them," and sentenced to imprisonment and a large fine.
He was released in December 2023, having fully served his sentence.
