The famous Orthodox Gomel resident Alexander Tarasenko, former hieromonk of the Gomel St. Nicholas Monastery.
In a pro-government video, Tarasenko “admits” that he allegedly posted “an offensive post addressed to the president” on his Facebook page.
Tarasenko works as a long-distance truck driver.
According to human rights activists , he was released in the winter of 2025, having fully served his sentence as determined by the court.
