On 27 February 2022, the day of the constitutional referendum, when protests against the war in Ukraine took place in Belarusian cities, Aliaksandr was detained in Minsk and sentenced to administrative arrest. According to pro-government Telegram channels, the reason for his detention was a post in which he called for defending Ukraine from Russian troops. Nothing is known about Aliaksandr's further fate.
