A unique and completely unknown fact from the biography of Maksim Bahdanovich, a classic of Belarusian literature. In his school years, Maksim was one of the organisers of an underground anarchist circle whose members carried out a successful attack on the gymnasium administration by blowing up a staircase. Maksim showed character and did not betray his comrades. Moreover, the word "Bahdanoŭščyna" itself refers to such powerful and historically significant movements as the Makhnovshchina, associated with the name of Nestor Makhno in Ukraine, and the Kalinoushchyna, named after Kastus Kalinouski. In this way, we uncover another page of Belarusian history devoted to the uncompromising revolutionary struggle for liberation.
